Directions
We are on the West Hill in Hastings, East Sussex, England.
Most people arrive at Hastings either from the West, along the coast (from Eastbourne, Brighton direction), or north of Hastings, on the A21 from the M25 (London).

Approaching Hastings from the north on the A21
Entering the suburbs of Hastings on the A21 you will pass a Sainsburys and petrol station on your right and after a further ½ mile you will pass over 2 mini-roundabouts. After 100m you’ll reach a slightly larger roundabout where the options are to go straight on or turn left.
Turn left left at the roundabout into St. Helens Road.
Continue downhill along St. Helens Road until you reach another roundabout (approx. 1 mile).
Turn left at the roundabout into Elphinstone Road and climb the steepish hill.
Turn right at the mini roundabout into Mount Pleasant Road.
Continue up Mount Pleasant road for 1/2 a mile until you reach a pub on your right called THE SHAH (approx.1½ miles).
Turn right almost back onto yourself immediately after The Shah into St. George's Road.
Eventually St. George's Road becomes Vicarage Road. Emmanuel Church is at the end of Vicarage Road.

To Emmanuel / Vicarage from the west (Eastbourne) along the sea front.
Continue along the Bexhill, St. Leonards & Hastings sea front with the promenade on your right until traffic lights with the A2101 and turn left towards the town centre by the Carlisle pub (approx. 200m past Hastings pier).
If you meet a roundabout on the sea front you have left it 30m too late!
Having turned inland, almost immediately turn first right up Castle Hill Road.
Follow the road as it winds its way up the hill, becoming Wellington Road and then Priory Road.
Once on top of the hill you should pass between large green playing areas with childrens' playpark on your left.
Continue inland along Priory Road until you pass Emmanuel Church on your left.
