What Emmanuel Believes:
We are an Anglican Evangelical Church.
- Above all we are Christians. We are convinced that Jesus is God the Son and that he died and rose again so that sinners like us can have a relationship with God. We are trusting in Him alone as our Saviour and Lord and desire to see many others find new life in Him.
- We are a Church. We are a community of God's people from all sorts of different backgrounds gathering around the Word of God in order to know Him better and make Him known to others. We come together to be equipped to live day by day in a way that honours our Heavenly Father.
- We are Evangelicals. We believe in the gospel (good news) of the written Word of God and the supreme authority and sufficiency of the Christian Scriptures. We want always to be open to changing according to what God says. You can find a summary of some of our core beliefs in the Doctrinal Basis of the Evangelical Alliance, of which Emmanuel is a member Church.
- We are Anglican although some members
prefer not to use denominational titles.
